Boston Advantage - Will McDonough called to NTDP Evaluation Camp

Congratulations to Boston Advantage ‘05 Will McDonough on his invitation to participate in this year’s NTDP U17 National Development Evaluation Camp, which was held this past week in Plymouth, Michigan. Will was one of 40 players from around the county who were brought to Team USA’s facility to be evaluated for the 2021/22 U17 National Team. Additionally, USHL scouts were in attendance to take advantage of this opportunity to view the top 2005 birth-year players in anticipation of this spring’s USHL draft.

Will began skating with the Boston Advantage program in Hingham at the age of 5. Now a 6’ 1”, 180 lb. freshman at Duxbury High School, he continues to play U16 full season midget hockey for Boston Advantage. Known for his natural goal scoring and play making ability, Will credits the BA program’s emphasis on skating and skill development with putting him in a position to succeed at the national level. He stated: “I have been lucky enough to have some great guidance along the way from coaches Eric Healey and Rich Brennan. In addition, Mr. Lovell, Mr. Poulin and their staff have all had a hand in my development. Boston Advantage has always been a fun and challenging place to play!”

Selection of the U17 National team will be made later this spring. Boston Advantage and the Elite9 would like to wish Will the best of luck!
