“One for One”

Last Sunday night in Marlborough MA, the Boston Advantage U15 team proved to be the team they have always been. They won the U15 Massachusetts State Championship. This state title is even more rewarding because the majority of this team has stayed and played together for the past 8 seasons. After years of being second guessed by other organizations and leagues, BA came out on top. After competing for years in the prestigious Tier I Elite Hockey League, they have always been one of the best teams in the NATION and proved this weekend they are the best team in the State! Boston Advantage has never entered the state tournament until this year, and won it in dramatic fashion. They went 5-0 beating the Islanders Hockey Club on Friday, the Valley Warriors and the Cape Cod Whalers on Saturday, the Springfield Rifles and again the Cape Cod Whalers in the finals. How they got it done was simply amazing. Sunday morning in the semifinals they won with 10 skaters (due to injuries), and then in the final game they took home the Championship with only 9 skaters!! Congratulations to these kids! They were given a few days off before their next showcase in Philadelphia with the Tier 1 Elite League this weekend. The team will travel to Plymouth, Michigan on April 5th to compete for Nationals, which will be filled with many of the teams that BA faces on a regular basis in the “Tier 1 Midget Elite Hockey League”.
