Peter DeAngelo Signs National Letter of Intent
Read Coach Cahoon comments.
We are excited to announce that scoring leader Peter DeAngelo has accepted a scholarship offer from the nationally ranked University of Massachusetts Minutemen. Peter is the second Advantage player from the 08-09 team to commit to a Hockey East school. Peter will suit up for the Minutemen starting in the fall of 2010. Peter had visited a couple of top Hockey East schools and picked Coach Cahoon's team because of the special mix of hockey, academics and social life that UMASS-Amherst provides its student-athletes. Peter spent two days on campus this past week and feel in love with the opportunity. Peter is a dynamic player with a bright future ahead of him. Peter has been with Lovell's Hockey for several years. He suited up for the split season team last year and is currently the top scorer for our Midget Major team this year. Peter is a crafty player who is extremely quick, strong and dynamic. Peter will spend next season with the Waterloo Blackhawks of the USHL before enrolling in the fall of 2010 at the Amherst campus.
The Coaching Staff couldn't be happier for Peter & his family. Peter's work ethic is second to none and is a pleasure to coach. He is a terrific young man and we are excited for Peter and his future. Best of luck!
