Decisions, Decisions, Decisions: 6 Advantage Players Make Picks for 2010-2011 Season

Nick Indelicato has accepted an invitation to join the Powell River Kings of the British Columbia Hockey League (BCHL).  Nick is in his 3rd season with us and we couldn't be happier about this opportunity for him.  He really earned it!   Nick is always around scoring opportunities and thats why he was our leading scorer this season and one of the top point guys the season before.  Nick is a fast, quick to pucks, strong anticipating shooting winger that plays terrific defense for a forward.  He can play with just about anyone and is a terrific penalty killer.  Nick earned a good about of DI interest this past year and should continue that over the summer and early next season.

Rob Liberatore is moving on to the college ranks at UMASS-Boston in the fall..  UMASS came down to watch Rob a couple of times this past season and when they needed to find a goalie, they didn't have to look far.  Rob is a quick athletic goalie who competes hard.  Its a terrific opportunity for him to play for program like the well respect Beacons and in a terrific league like the ECAC-East.  Thanks for the season you had with us and best of luck!

Brian Harris will be staying close to home this season and playing for the traditionally strong Boston Jr Bruins of the EJHL.  Brian was a 3rd year player for us and as a result of his hard work he was offered a scholarship to play at the University of Maine in 2011 or 2012.  Brian is a terrific young talent.  He is a highly skilled Dman with a tenacious stick who likes to play tough & physical.  The Bruins' tradition of winning and moving kids on will be terrific for Brian to be a part of.  Brian has been terrific to be around these years and we are certainly proud of him.  Brian was recently drafted by the Youngstown Phantoms of the USHL.

Cam Brown will also be staying in the EJHL but he will be suiting up for the NH Jr Monarchs.  Cam is a dynamic, skills, smart playmaking forward who is tough to defend.  Cam is also a University Maine recruit.  The Monarchs are as strong of a program in the northeast as there is.  There are only 1 or 2 other teams in the entire northeast that rival what the Monarchs have accomplished in terms of winning and college commitments.  Cam will fit right in with that tradition.  Cam is a great kid with a bright future ahead of him.

Mike Miller who is one of our hardest working players has decided to join Harris & Brown in the EJHL next season where he will play for the Vally Jr Warriors.  Miller is a rugged winger who proved he could score, had 23g this season.  He has a strong heavy shot which makes it deadly when he gets all of it.  Mike is a terrific young man and will be a good fit for Andy Heinze and his club.  Mike has worked hard to get to where he has so far and I am sure that will continue at the next level.

Mike Cox has tendered with the Fresno Monsters of the NAHL a few weeks back.  Mike rounded out his game this year making him one of the better two way forwards that I have seen.  Mike is a gritty, smart playmaking, shooting forward who has the knack to make those around him better.  Fresno is an expansion team in the NAHL so its a once in a life time experience for Mike.  He will get to enjoy southern California while playing good competitive hockey in a good solid league.  Mike did everything we asked of him and know he will do well in the future no matter where he plays.  We are happy for him!

The above join Tom Callahan & Matt O'Neill who have decided to be student-athletes at Babson College in the fall as well as Mike Hayes who is pursueing nursing at the University of Rhode Island where he will play club hockey.  Alumni like Larry Berry is attending Trinity College where he is projected to be one of their top D right off the bat and Mark MacDonald will be playing for the Vikings of Salem State.  Mark will be a very good player for them and will log a good amount of ice.

We are proud of all of our guys and excited for all of them!  They all have terrific opportunities to take advantage of over the next few years.
